I mean I was playing TF2 still shortly before and there seemed to be about 10k players on at any given time.
So yeah....as much as I love the game that probably wasn't enough players to justify the maintenance it (kinda) got.
@seasickpants999 like @Cheese9Man stated it is EA at fault. They are the publisher, just like when an author writes a good book, it is up to the publisher what gets attention. I am certain there are tons of Respawn employees who would love to see the complete Titanfall series active. However they are not about to come here and admit it and risk losing their job.
If the server is up and running, it isn't abandoned. Also it appears the servers swelled back in September with a 215% increase in players. There must have been something major to cause that big spike. I could show you some other games that only wish they had Titanfall 2's numbers.
