Experiencing extreme lag in multiplayer
Hi! My friend recently gifted me Titanfall 2. I've been enjoying the single-player campaign, but I can't play the multiplayer because of extreme lag I'm getting.
I have 57ms ping to Frankfurt servers, yet the moment I join the match ping jumps to 300+ms. It renders the game unplayable, and out of 10+ attempts, I only managed to finish ONE game. Sometimes I get "connection to server timed out" message even before level fully loads, and I have game installed on an SSD.
I have no idea what's causing this, because I have stable 40-60ms ping in other multiplayer games. I tried rebooting my PC and "repairing" the game using Origin, but it didn't help. Of course I don't have any programs downloading anything, and I'm the only one using Internet connection.
My questions:
1. Why is this game so network heavy, and is there any way for me to actually play it?
2. If I won't be able to fix this issue, will my friend be able to refund the game? It seems like EA support is closed and they have 72 hours to submit a refund request.
Edit: I was able to refund the game, and I suggest doing same thing to everyone experiencing same issue. This problem persisted for months and at this point I'm sure developers just don't care about it.
Hello @Deemedrol
Can you try perform the troubleshooting steps from this article on connection troubleshooting https://help.ea.com/en-us/help/faq/connection-troubleshooting-basic/ Opening corresponding TCP ports can also resolve this.
