failed payment but charged some money

I've tired to make payment with my debt card but failed. but they charged some money from my account. why is that?

    If it was 1$ or 1 Euro (depending on your region, the currencies are different), this is just the authorization money, the bank takes and no EA.

    This is all that it is and it is used to authorize your card. The money should be refunded to you automatically, within 5 business days.
