Game crashes at loading screen every time. Nvidia driver error message

I have yet to actually play this game despite hours of trying. I can start up the game fine. I can change the options on the main menu. But when I press play to go into the lobby menu, it will go to the loading screen with all the ships and crash. Sometimes the lobby screen will pop up for a second but it will be unresponsive and will always ultimately crash. Upon crashing an error message says that the nvidia driver has stopped responding but has recovered. MY whole display will go black for a second and when it comes back the game window is just blank white. Sometimes I can still hear the audio coming from the game but can't do anything.

This is what I've tried so far:

repair the game

reinstall origin

install latest nvidia drivers

rollback to several different nvidia drivers that I know are stable

changed nvidia power management to best performance

reinstall directx

change my gpu clock speed.

change the game video settings to the lowest possible settings

restarted my PC about a thousand times during this whole process

specs:

i5 2500k

8gb RAM

geforce 560ti

can give more details or a dxdiag if needed

  • My recommendation: use DDU to uninstall the old drivers. A standard uninstall can sometimes leave pieces behind that will interfere. DDU fully cleans up all of that mess, just like new. After using DDU, restart your computer then install the 335.23 drivers from the Nvidia site.

link for DDU with full info and most current version download link:

I've tried both the ms fixit tool and using DDU, neither of them did anything.

This is so insanely frustrating.  I really don't think it's a hardware issue since I can still play other games fine.

  • EDIT nvm, forgot to re-read the first post. Sorry i wasnt more help.

If it is of any condolence, I am having the same issue.

I have attempted a Memtest which passed 17 Passes, Disk Surface Scan's with two utilities which both came back negative, Clean Uninstalls and Driver Cleaning with the Display Driver Uninstaller in safe mode, Latest Beta Drivers and also older recommended releases. Downclocking my CPU, RAM and GPU and increasing/decreasing voltage, Running a 30 Minutes Burn in Test at @100% System Capacity which passed. Replacing my Thermal Compund on both South and North Bridge whilst also cleaning and reseating my GPU, Internal Wireless, CPU, SATA Connectors, RAM modules and also Chemdipped a lot of the removable components in isopropenyl. All fans and heatsinks were cleaned. This brought average system ambient down a few notches but nothing spectacular. Currently nothing exceeds 70 Degrees Celsius whilst under 100% load (Except know issues with MCH and ICH detection).

I then attempted to Redownload the entire game again, including cleaning and removing all DXpackages and old .net framework installs. Thouroughly cleaned my systems temporary directories out and also stripped my startup to borderline Coldboot (Nothing but my Nvidia Driver framework). I have installed and updated all my redist packages including older versions such as 2005, 2008, 2010. I have reinstalled Origin as well. Windows is 100% up to date with 1 missing recommended update (KB971033, Its just a terrible implementation). I have attempted Running the game in Safe Mode, and with every concievable setting configuration possible including all Low in Safe-Mode. I have ran Chkdsk to verify my Systems file system integrity whilst also combing though my Event log, only to find that somehow Tier0.dll is involved in this. System File Checker and further Event log combing and sifting have releaved nothing out of order with my current system configuration apart from a few warning being generated by my system due to my Antivirus locking certain files (Yes, I have uninstalled and tested this without the Antivirus), and a few DCOM reliant processes complaining.

I should also mention that currently, I can still run every game that comes out on either high or highest configuration - And I currently do not have any other issue with the 25+ other games I currently have loaded on this machine. No other Application has an issue running Including Elder Scrolls Online, Metro Last Light, World of Tanks, Skyrim, Lost Planet 3, Dota 2, Natural Selection 2 etc. BF4 through Origin still works.

    System Specifications:
Intel Core 2™ Quad Q9650 @3Ghz Native, 3.5Ghz in OC.

    Kingston Low Latency DDR2 800 @900Mhz

    Gigabyte GTX560Ti SOC @1Ghz

Seagate 7200.12 1TB SATA HDD in AHCI

    Intel DP35DP Mainboard

Cooler Master 850W Gold Rated PSU.

Mostly Razer bits and pieces as peripherals.

Anybody think they can shead some light on this? I have also tested using a friends account with new game files. I am a little dissappointed with the lack of recognition of these CTD's, from EA. Ignoring the problem will not make the issue dissappear sorry, Time to do your job and stop expecting your customers to have to have complex knowledge of their machines just to run a bloody game.
