Game(s) Won't Launch

I own tf2 on steam but every time I try to launch it opens up EA app and I get "preparing game" but then it just stops and steam starts validating files for ~5 minutes (verifying all files takes some...

    the fix was my C++ visual something, which was one of the things in that file, thanks so much
