Hey, Having same issue, it seems it is a TPG problem. I have just finished a live support chat with EA and if you look at the trace results..
the 159 ip range is ea's the rest of US hops are not EA's. We all need to get stuck into TPG and find out why we are all routed to those xo.net and us.above.net. TPG customers will never get to play this game.
Yes I think you are right. TPG are usless though. I contacted them several times and they reckon the net is fine. Doesn't help that they re-route all traffic through Sydney now to save costs. I live in Adelaide and I get about 20-30ms slower pings on Adelaide servers than my friend on Internode. If I ping his computer directly ( he lives about 3km away) I get about 70ms but if I connect to a Sydney based server I get about 30ms. Go figure!
Wishing I had signed up with Internode now...will be changing when my contract runs out!
