how do i backup and restore games?

i'm following every tutorial from ea help and it's not working. i've downloaded titanfall 2  last night from my laptop and want to restore it on my PC desktop today. i've tried the old method where i download a little bit and paused the download and after that just copy paste it, it's not work it only read 2 gb of the data. second method i've tried the command prompt method from this http://answers.ea.com/t5/Origin/HOW-TO-Backup-restore-any-Origin-game-WITHOUT-downloading/m-p/5373633#M205556. also not work. it only read 8 gb of the data. can anyone help me.

seriously. origin developer should implement proper backup and restore feature like steam not just update the UI.

Hi again, I think I know where the issue lies now.

"Origin" isn't normally where the game installs go, I think the backup was moved to the wrong location and Origin didn't know to check here.

Within Origin itself, click "Origin" in the top left, then Application Settings. Check the Installs & Saves tab then Game library location. This is where your game installs will go, and where Origin will check for content moved from a backup.

You can move the game file to the appropriate location from here, or you can change the location for Origin to look for said game file, it's up to you.

@joe_mad_2 I've just tested this on my work PC by moving the install on my local system, the same process we've always used seems to be fine.

Was the game fully installed and playable on the laptop? You should be able to launch Origin, then move the entire "Titanfall2" folder to your current Origin Games install location. Reload the page in origin and it should detect the folder. There may be a quick scan/install process, but it shouldn't take long.
