Installation issues ( directx cab file or vpk audio file)
Hi there,
So i was able to play this game until rank 4.
After that the would not start anymore.
I have tried allot of the solutions from this forum and i have downloaded the game more than 5 times
wich is over 250gyg total. (thank god i have fiberpower)
Offcourse i tried all this with disabled firewall and antivirus
The problems i run in to are:
- Game wont install because of the directx cab file.
- If i replace the files in the directx folder with other directx files it will install.
- After that the game always fails on installing the vpk 000_000 sound file.
- Tried editing the cam text file and deleting the entrys as suggested.
- Game will start downloading all the files again so no succes.
- Tried installing on my ssid
- Tried installing on a diffrent harddisk
- Always when i delete entries from the cam list. Game installs but my sound is horrible noise and often the game shuts down.
Sometime when i instal the directx instal goes well and i get past the 20% then after that it will always fail on the sound files and the game
stops repairing or installing and i get the sound problem ingame.
So i also foned EA. They have send me an email with diffrent solutions.
- Update directx
- Install new .NET framework
- Install new C++
Tried all of the above but no succes.
The stupid thing is that the game worked fine. Played some campaign and some multiplayer up to rank 4.
