What error are you getting: The game loads and runs fine until I hit Play. At this point I'm stuck on the splash screen of the ships with the indicator in the left lower corner going around and around. I also notice that everything based on the internet locks up also (Ventrilo, Firefox, etc). Its not like they are lagged out, its like they are cut off. As soon as I close the game window (stop it from running), everything else works fine. I've never seen anything quite like it. Other things may cause vent and web browsers to lag, but I've never seen anything lock them up like that.
EDIT: I attepted to "fix" the game by using the repair function in Origin. After the repair, the game would not even connect to the Data Center. So I read on here that using a DMZ had worked well for others and tried it myself. Well it's definately something to do with my router. I put the computer I am using to play the game in a DMZ and the game now works fine.
EDIT: The DMZ did not fix my problem. I purchased a new dsl modem/router and still have same issue. Other games have no problem, but this game is mostly unplayable for me. It rarely lets me in past the ships screen. I hope there is a fix for this.

Resolved: My ISP fixed my connection which was at around .5 to .8 MBPS. I'm now at around 1.2 to 1.3 MBPS and as long as my DSL speed stays in this area the game works fine. At lower speeds I'm stuck watching the ships in space and going nowhere.
