Multiple computers playing on same network

As the subject says, I have two computers connected via hardwire to my home network each with their own separate accounts. Only one computer is able to connect to Titanfall at a time though. While one is connected, the other computer will loop a connection attempt a couple of times, initialize, and then the connection to the server will time out. I have even tried to invite the other computer to a lobby through the friends list on Origin but that also results in the connection timing out.

While only one computer is playing the game, the connection is stable and the game runs smoothly. Both computers are also capable of running the game with a stable connection (separately of course). I fear that this is an issue with my internet itself and I won't be able to have both computers running Titanfall at the same time.

If anyone is able to help me solve this, I will gladly remove any and all enemy pilots from your Titan's back any day!

  • I rasied the same problem earlier and others are having the same trouble.

We can play all Origin and Steam games on both PCs (including BF4) together but only Titanfall not working on both at the same time.

I fear that EA isn't going to solve this problem blaming its the home Internet issue not with them; but if all other games work why shouldn't Titanfall?!!

We should keep bumping up this problem until we get an answer!

And if you read that post you see that it solves nothing. I've talked to EA's game advisors and Titanfall will not let 2 computers connect at the same time, the game is designed that way and it will NOT be fixed. The reason you get a few games in, then a few more by completely disabling the UPnP is simply because the server hasn't recognised your network yet. By design Titanfall will not let 2 computers play in a party or on a team together at the same time.

I recommend simply requesting a refund for both accounts, which is possible as EA's titanfall support page under the connectivity section states as follows:
If your internet connection works but you can’t maintain a connection to the Titanfall servers, you may still be eligible for a refund via the Great Game Guarantee if you purchased your game from Origin

  • Simply not true. I was able to do it successfully for a couple months. My brother and I would play in a party together all the time. I then stopped playing the game for a couple weeks and in the meantime I also got a new router. I'm not sure if the router caused the issue or if there was an update during the time I wasn't playing that caused the issue.

It's the answer i got from EA after they contacted respawn entertainment. If you were able to play then for some reason their servers had not identified that your computers were both on the same network, once that happens you are barred from playing in party or on the same team, you can even play on opposite teams in the same game. It's a stupid setup, and it's the EA game reps told me on the online chat and on the phone, and I got a refund for both mine and my wife's copy of the game because there is no way we can play in a party on the same network connection.
