No sound in Titanfall

Hello there!

So, simple as that: there is no sound playing while Titanfall is running. I checked with other apps (Google Chrome, Netflix) and even used the "Test" button in the Windows Sounds Settings. Everything works, except for Titanfall.

Before you say anything, yes, I tried checking forums and youtube, but every answer is ancient, from 2014 and based on my experience with games downloaded from EA or the Origin app, where I spent 4 hours trying to fix an issue with another game and nothing worked... this is the last straw. I'll just cancel my membership and avoid EA games at all costs for the rest of my life.

P.S.: I use a gaming laptop, Lenovo Legion Y530-15ICH.

  • Try going into sound settings and switching back and forth between 5.1 and stereo setup. Also make sure your output device in Windows Sound Settings is set as default, both as normal default and "default communication device". If these two don't help, I guess you can try changing your Advanced->Default format settings, in my case it's "2-channel, 16-bit, 48000 Hz". Also if it's an external device like USB speakers/headphones, make sure they're plugged in before starting the game, as the game cannot switch its output device after starting up...

  • So Im also getting this issue on steamdeck. I did check applications the game dosent show up in audio applications on linux...
