No Speech from Titanfall main characters or even the auto-titan AI voice

in the game titanfall i am expirencing what i think is lag. Ever since the most recent update the characters that pop up in the miniscreen at the top right corner of the screen will not speak. it will show the whole mouth moving and animation but no audio will come out. i can hear all the game sounds though shooting,jumping,landing,etc. but the characters like sarah for example will not speak when they pop up. even in the campign lobby when you get the mission briefing it will begin with "sarah status report" and nothing else will play. i have tried reseting my internet thinking it was that but it had no success. Thank you.
