Origin Fix - "You must be online when logging in for the first time"

I am having problems logging into my origin account

    What worked for me was deleting some files from my computer that had been downloaded the same day Origin wouldn't let me log in. just type in uninstall program into your computer's search and uninstall what you don't want. BE CAREFUL YOU DON'T UNINSTALL A NECESSARY FILE!

    @EA_Atic I cannot even sign in to Origin as it says online login currently unavailable I can log in fine via the website though. So far I have reinstalled origin, cleared origin cache, checked permissions in firewall and antivirus, completely disabled firewall and antivirus, checked my clock was the correct time, reset network settings, checked proxy settings in internet options and deleted all origin games in case something connected to them was causing the problem. I close all origin processes after each new attempt to no avail. Thanks for the reply though, I appreciate it.

    I can log in online, but not through the Origin app.

    I have cleared the Origin Cache

    I have cleared the Browser Cache

    I have uninstalled and reinstalled Origin

    I have restarted my PC

    I am online (duh, I am posting here)

    I need help!

    Got it to work from another thread.  I had to:

    1. Uninstall origin completely. Leave your games, just Origin.

    2. Google search Origin Download. Use the filehippo link, should be build 10.5.41.27263

    3. Download and install, go to settings and disable automatic game and Origin updates. Sign in and play

    Note: I had to side step another download that they tried to push to me (brave browser) before I got to the Origin downloader.

    But I sincerely hoped that the TF1 Hacker would finally crack the origin.:eahigh_file:
    Damn, they still won't do anything to remove the hacker.🤒

    I tried this and it worked. But after a restart of my computer and Origin was back to not being able to login and stuck in offline mode. EA support has not been very supportive.

    @StarwolfLongleap Yeah, when the client launches, it forces a check for a new version of the client (even if you turn off the auto update.) It won't let you proceed until you update the client, which then breaks the client, so you have to uninstall the client and get the older version again (or pull it out of your recycle bin) and reinstall. (or don't exit the client (I don't like leaving my pc running. The uninstall/install process takes less than 5 minutes, so it's not a big deal for me))

    having the same issue now. i first had the "origin online login is currently unavailable" issue, tried everything including contacting support. only other option was to try to reinstall origin. now i keep getting "origin must be online to login for the first time".  how is this still an issue? original post made in 2014! 20 * 14!  pull your head out of your * and fix this EA. this kind of * is the reason people hate EA, you dont fix anything. the only reason people use origin is because you took your games off steam.
