Origin overlay.

So I read that disabling the overlay may increase performance, and my PC could use some of that. Unfortunately even after checking all the options and disabling the origin in game, the overlay is still on!!

Would love some help regarding this.. don't have too long left on the free game time and would like to try it as much as I can, might be worth the buy.
