Hi, I'm having a problem with Titanfall on my PC. I don't know if I accidentally hit some setting to cause this, but now, I'm not able to access the Origin overlay. In-game, it says "Origin Overlay Disabled"I can't find anything online that tells me what the problem is (other than actual glitches & bugs with the Origin overlay). This is simply a feature that got disabled somehow, and I don't know how to re-enable it.Any help would be great.

Yeah this is an old post but the probablem crops up across all games. I also had this problem and I found a third level down setting that was disabling it that is not mentioned here - I believe it was set by the Nvidia Experience -> Use Optimized Settings for this Game thing but who knows, it could have been me.So if you are having problems with Origin In Game coming up for any game, try these things:1. Maybe another overlay is running -> try closing it (Steam/Raptr/UPlay) just in case2. In Origin, check "Origin" -> "Application Settings" -> "Origin In Game" -> "General" and ensure Enable Origin In Game is checked (my radio button was set to "Supported Games Only" which works for me)3. And here was what was wrong with my setup: In Origin go to the "My Games" tab -> Hover Over Game in Question -> Click the "i" icon -> "Game Properties" -> "Disable Origin In Game for this Game" should be unchecked.

Steam (also Raptr) was the cause of the Origin overlay issue, at least for me, and I tried every other suggestions/known issues around the internet trying to find a **bleep** ing fix for it. Turns out, all I had to do was simply close/exit Steam & or Raptr, then run the game from my desktop shortcut or through Origin directly. You can re-open Steam/Raptr after the game is running, if you want, I see no reason you would absolutely need Steam to be open, so I dont bother. (Raptr, however, tracks my play time and gives rewards and so on. So I would re-open Raptr personally.) Unless I'm planning on using Steam to chat, since the larger sum of my friends are on Steam more than Origin. (I suggest to wait till you hit the main menu of Titanfall before opening Steam/Raptr, just to confirm that it is now running with the Origin overlay and shows that the store is available.Step by Step Summary1.) Exit/Close all the way out of Steam/Raptr. Make sure to check your system tray, it may have minimized either of them rather than actually closing them.2.) run the game.3.) Play Titanfall with the overlay and friends. ENJOY! Additional Info: It was not the Overlays themselves of Steam nor Raptr that were effecting the Origin Overlay as I had turned them both off theorizing that was the problem at the time. What is the cause? idk maybe Origin is just a pile of **bleep** at the moment or its a method of consumer control which makes sense it is EA after all they only want you to play their products and use their software. (sounds like **bleep** microsoft too.) Well, what would you do if you were that greedy? Hmmm I'd make an overlay that is broken if anyother overlay program is runnng, nice... Dicks.

Overlay programs that overlay over each other, and just overlays in general is a big problem on PC today. The easiest way to rule it out is to do a clean boot: http://help.ea.com/en/article/how-to-clean-boot-your-pc/ and then try your game you are having trouble with. Microsoft actually solved this by making their "Games for Windows – Live" built directly into the games, but sadly that sucked in many other ways.

I was able to get origin overlay to work by disabling the on-screen display from RivaTuner (MSI afterburner).

I even tried googling it again and found my thread through it.
The only thing I've done was use Geforce experience for optimal settings. I then reverted it just in case that was the problem.
It literally says in-game that Origin is disabled. Nobody has an answer for this?

I have the same issue as well. I've heard that people running Fraps have issues. And when they close Fraps it fixes it. Maybe that will fix your problem, but I'm unfortunately not running that and haven't been able to find a fix yet, aside from possibly reinstalling all 50 gb of Titanfall and Origin. Not sure my ISP would like that though.

same issue for me, for the last week i cant make work origin overlay, it say disables on the start screen of titanfall

Hello guys, maybe i have a solution for the "orgin overlay diabled" problem in titanfall, on my computer this worked perfectly.
First u have to open the "settings" in origin, and then click on "Advanced". After that u should deactivate the point "origin-assistent (5th topic)". After that it should hopefully work again.
PS: I am from Germany so the englisch words might be not translated perfectly

I tryed unchecking Origin Helper, restarted Origin, started Titanfall and its still disabled. what looks like is actually disabled is Origin "Store" with in Titanfall. I have tryed disabling "Origin in Game", restart Origin client play a game, then Enabling "Origin In Game". to see if that would work..no joy. The thing about "Origin In Game" is I have friends I'd like play Co-Op with and having Origin In Game disabled makes it hard to do so. also other threads I have read says Origin In Game causes the game to lag. so EA or Origin really needs to address thier client.

oh, and I have nothing else running like FRAPs, STEAM, Or Team Speak. (all of which I have read may be causeing the problem.)
