[PC] - Activate your game -> too many computers

Hello,

I cannot believe I'm having another issue with this game thanks to EA. Bought it through Steam for a reason, as I was hoping to not have to deal with EA's sorry excuse for an app service.

Anyways

Whenever I try to launch I'm now forced to log in to EA through a dated pop-up in order to reactivate the code. Now that I've done that twice (on the same computer and account mind you), EA has decided too many accounts and computers have accessed this game, locking me out completely.

Apologies if this reads rudely, I'm just incredibly frustrated with EA as a whole

Many thanks for any help you could bring

    Hey @Zephyr970

The error message "Too many computers have accessed this account" is a security message that will generally pop up if you have attempt to login or activiate a game on multiple devices in a short time.

Generally, waiting 24 hrs before attempting to log in again will clear this message. If not try the following:

    1. erify your login with TFA: Follow the steps in the article How to turn on EA Login Verification and save your backup codes afterwards somewhere safe. Once done, try loading up the game.
    2. Double-check you're logged out from all your devices: Check you're not logged in on your phone, or iPad, etc, etc. To check open up an ea site like ea.com and if you're logged in, log out.
    3. Remove and then Re-add PC as Trusted Device: Go to your EA account settings and in Security go to the heading 'Trusted Devices' and select 'remove trusted devices'. After restart the client and re-add your device again.
    4. Clear EA App and Internet Brower cache.

    Thanks!

  • I attempted logging in late last night, so I'll update tomorrow for if that fixed worked for me. This is not the entire problem, however.

I was prompted to log in so many times due to the strange activation code pop up (seen in image 1). This has never popper up before but for some reason refuses to go away now. What gives?

  • Login today was successful, but the issue at large is unchanged.

I get the same pop-up for activation, and upon log-in it doesn't utilize the log-in verification I've set up. This leads me to believe that if I launch the game a few times over the course of a day it'll lock me out again.

    Hi @Zephyr970

No worries, Can you try running Steam and the EA app as admin and make sure your not offline in either? After try running TF2 again.

If the message keeps up, to check, have you already connected your EA and Steam accounts?

  • My accounts are linked (double checked), and I've tried running as administrator (while online) for both. I think there might be something wrong with EA detecting my device as itself. I noticed in my security tab that it had an accepted log-in from somewhere I don't live (but do VPN to) as well as my actual residence. I removed the VPN version, but upon launching Titanfall2 again, it prompted me to use TFA to approve this login, creating a second instance of my computer from my correct location. I've since removed both and readded my PC, however the pop-up persists. I don't know if this will be of any additional use, but the pop-up uses an origin logo as its icon.

  • @EA_Illium I checked the link and couldn't find a chat that isn't this forum. I was able to find by ban and suspension history if that's what you mean. My account's record is spotless.
