Re: Can´t I install Titanfall from the DVD´s ? And after 52GB of download I´m still unable to install ?

@gboss76 There's a lot of audio which needs to be uncompressed, hence the 52GB (that's not the actual download size, but it uncompresses into that amount). If you have the discs, you should be able to install from them and only need the internet when you're getting the patch updates. Try disconnecting from the internet and see if your install is proceeding as normal.

There's 3 discs since the data won't fit on one, and many games are multi-disc.

I already tryed to disconnect from internet and install it form DVD, but it just goes to the download page anyway, and says I need to be connected.

Already tryed to run the autorun, already tryed to unizp the .exe file from disc 3, already tryed to run disc 1 while offline, it always redirects to the download page to that monstruous 52GB download.

Actually I´m not surprised with the 3 DVD´s, it could be 4 or 5, doesnt matter. I just wanted to install form them, thats why I bought a physicial copy and not a digital, but it wont let me use the DVD´s, thats the issue.

Could you help me with a step by step DVD installation ? I already followed all the instructions and it always goes to download page.

    Thanks in advance.

It may appear that the game is downloading even if it's installing from the disk. Last time I checked, the progress bar for the DVD install is the same as the digital download. You can tell when it's a download or not based on the disk write speed.

  • I am having the same problem. However, mine does not show any downloading from disk at all. It goes to the Origin program and wants me to download from there which still doesn't do the install.

The following error is what i get:

    Pak file "\\?\C:\Program iles (x86)\Origin

    Games\Titanfall\vpk\Client_mp_commonn.bsp.pak000_000.vpk"

    contains corrupt decompressed audio data.

    (checksum 0x6b27be41 != 0xab0401ae).

(Item at offset 3797876865, size 24490364)

    Please advise. Thanks.

Yes, now thta I downloaded those 52GB it starts installing and then appears this message. I still cant skip logging in Origin to use the DVD´s to install and now apparently all that time downloading 52GB is beeing useless.

I would really appreciate some help.

    Titanfall audio installation failed.

Decode : corrupt or missing data in bitstream

    In file \\?\C:\Program iles (x86)\Origin

    Games\Titanfall\vpk\Client_mp_commonn.bsp.pak000_002.vpk"

    Offset 59019895, Size 202945

Now im still unable to install with DVD and theres no option to repair the 52GB download......

    The corrupted file - Client_mp_commonn.bsp.pak000_002.vpk  _ is a 3,95GB file.

Man I just made it yesterday.

Not that easy but the game worths it, is awesome!

Ok, here is what I did - I had a corrupted file Client_mp_commonn.bsp.pak000_002.vpk during install.

I managed to locate that file on prgram files/origin/, etc etc, ( all the path to locate it is on the error msg )

Then I noticed I had a "vpk" folder on my DVD 3, and inside there was a file with the same sname (Client_mp_commonn.bsp.pak000_002.vpk). The vpk folder where this file is located is inside a winrar file with several folders on the DVD.  After that I clicked the file that was crashing my installation from the DVD and picked "extract to folder" choosing the vpk folder on my pc where I had the file with same name.  ( I removed the crashed file from C and stored on a download folder in case it would go wrong ).

Then it asked for my DVD 1 to extract the file to C?programfilesx86/ ( all that path from error msg)...

After using dvd 1 the installation continued. ( I still got anohter crash message with another corrupted file on the .vpk folder, repeated the same steps and finally it installed the game.)

I suppose you can just delete the corrupted files from your drive C folders, and replace them with the same files fom your DVD.  I saved them on my download folder just in case it all didnt worked, but after all I deleted them, since both corrupted files had 4GB size.
