Re: Optimizing HD content, Couldn't store HD content to the Xbox 360 Hard Drive!
I just old my boys exactly what you found out. We are huge XBox and EA fans! But when a mass production game like TitanFall comes out, and they're making millions of discs, quality assurance goes down. Plain and simple. We have been having disc issues, from really slow loading, black screen and no loading, and the infamous mid-game mid-kill rampage game freeze which makes you turn off your box and wait for waht seems like forever to get back to playing your $60 game. I'm 52, and Father of five kids, with five XBox's throughout our home which we use for everything it does, from gaming, movie watching, general app use, etc. Eveyone in my family is an expert at using it, including my non-gaming wife who uses it for Netflix and XBox Videos, and can actually be talked into a couple hours of XBox BackGammon over a bottle of wine. She hates losing too.
But damn, something has to be done about qaulity assurance on disk quality if thats the medium in which they seem to be forced to deliver the content for the foreseeable future, and more importantly, they can make every excuse in the book about poor connectivity, but someone has to invent a solution to all the mid-game drops. Otherwise, gaming consoles are absolutey awesome forms of entertainment, whether alone, with friends, and in our case with family. Dont tell me we're lazy for being gamers, everyone one of us play hockey weekly and many other sports, so we're getting our excersize.
Come on EA and Microsoft, us loyal fans and gamers, deliver $60 bucks everytime there's a cool new game and the $600 for a new console and attachments when they release new ones. All we expect back is reliability, consistently, and being respected by producing high quality gaming.
Cheers!
