2. Every high-selling online game has server problems at release. No amount of closed beta testing can prepare for that.

NO not every game. Im pretty sure thats why they had a staged out beta release, so PROBLEMS like this DONT HAPPEN! Not to mention that its not cynical to want a product to correctly. Just becuase you enjoy and have come accustomed to having your games fail should we as a community of consumers rely on that fact for everygame?
On that note, when you buy something like a phone or a ISP do you not get mad when the item or service doesnt work? If you dont then you need to really figure out why you feel like things failing is a acceptable thing for you!

Thank you! Im sorry but I feel like game companies and their distributing/server houses all have relied on the fact of pushing games out instead of making games that work well and making their public happy. If I could, for once in a very long time, play a game for a week or two without a bug it would be worth waiting another week or two. The standard for games has been constant with problems like these.
Name one major release in recent times that had no issues at launch.
well recently there really hasnt been a game that is a "major" release that fixates on a problem like this for me. This company has had issues like this before and yet these problems still arise. The idea of recent is not the problem at hand, and this is not the point I was bringing to your attention. The problem is that its becoming a standard of games, instead of having bugs fixed with beta releases or having a staff onhand to immediately alter and solve problems like this, THATS THE ISSUE!
Its been almost 3 hours now from the start of posts and my friends complaining, Im sorry is that not enough time for a MAJOR gaming company to fix a simple issue! ? Bugs happen your right, its the time in which they get fixed, and how quickly the public is notified of when the problem should be fixed. I have not seen ANY NOTES from EA or its affiliates for any information,
I have been playing games for a long time and the longer I play the more problems continue and get worse, my question to you still is why arent you mad about this.

Yes I agree the publisher is the one that decides the date of release, whats allocated to the game, and the maintenance on the game. So its all on EA and its affiliates to figure it out ASAP. If you notice the game runs smoothly with rare if any glitches no bugs and has WICKED graphics, thats all on the developers!
