You can wait if you wish, but for now I'd even just try temporarily disabling your AV as a test? That way you can know if it's a factor, and if it has no effect you can turn it back on and we can try some other troubleshooting.
@EA_David I appreciate all the help but I would rather not leave my PC vulnerable, even if it is only for a second, to help fix a problem that is EA's and not mine. While I like the game it is not the only fish in the sea plus if the game is unplayable for much longer I will start the formal process of filing a compliant to EA about selling me a product that does not function properly.
