Re: Titanfall 2 not allowing 4K (3840x2160) resolution on PC

Having the same issue as you - and the responses to other threads suggest 'change your desktop resolution' I find this ridiculous. I'm at native 4k, why would I screw up my desktop for this - every other game I play doesn't throw up a crappy 'init' error when I run it in 4k. It's not even a decent error handler, really poor coding.

I found a solution:

C:\Users\<Username>\Documents\Respawn\Titanfall2\local\videoconfig.txt

"setting.defaultres" "3840"
"setting.defaultresheight" "2160"

Works for me.

U can try change resolution by setting parameters -width X -height Y

Examples for 1920x1080:

1) In "Titanfall 2" shortcut properties:

"C:\Program Files (x86)\Origin Games\Titanfall2\Titanfall2.exe" -width 1920 -height 1080

or

2) in Origin -> Game Properties -> Advanced Launch Options -> Command line arguments

-width 1920 -height 1080
