Re: WHY CHEATERS ARE STILL PLAYING!

Would you mind expanding on this? What have you seen, on which platforms, game modes, etc? Just aimlessly accusing others of cheating doesn't really add up to much. I was accused of cheating by some salty random that got smacked one time too much for his liking, but that doesn't mean I was. I love the game and play to improve my skills. In comparison to some of the more experienced players I still suck, though. That's part of the game.

Need players report means they doesn't know who is cheater.

Even players report cheaters for Respawn

Respawn doesn't ban the cheater player, instead, they let cheaters can still play!

divert so many resource to let cheaters play, therefor short of man power to deal with hacker problem

no wonder normal players feel so bad!

So, you tell me what player's report for? for fun?

  • I've never used that function and therefore don't know how it works, but I do know that as a general rule when something is reported it, at some point, gets looked into and if evidence to support an accusation is found necessary steps are taken. If no evidence of cheating is found no further steps are taken. If a cheater is good at covering up their tracks, they're safe. If an accused cheater isn't cheating but rather insanely good at, or lucky while playing, the game no further steps are taken.

I get your frustration but whimsical punishments are worse than allowing accused players to carry on playing. Being banned because someone else gets salty is not a fun experience.

@ICA_CourierLook at your keybinds. The system is super clunky and unintuitive on PC, you have to use keys like PageUp, PageDown etc. by default and by the time you figured it out, the match is probably over.

Also, it's probably a waste of time and Respawn hasn't been the most competent team when it comes to identifying and dealing with cheaters in the past. For example, just look up a player called "Benchy". This guy was even featured on the title screen of Titanfall 2 with his montage (where Rendy's video is linked these days)... in which he was aimbotting. It took the effort of community members to expose and get rid of this clown. That's probably the most prominent case and those were the times when Respawn devs were still active in TF2...

A few month ago, I had a case were someone was using racial slurs to insult players. So I used the support system here and my ticket (screenshot attached) was closed with "No Fix available". No further comment. So yeah.... good luck!

  • @DeadEcho82 What? That's just messed up. I assumed things were a little more decent than that, but if that's the frame of reference I'm starting to understand why OP is upset. If that's their experience, I totally get it. My personal experience, especially in my earlier days playing multiplayer, has been that the more experienced players just have a better understanding of the maps, game mechanics and have developed a sharp intuition with the weapons and team play, which to the less experienced player may come off as op bordering on cheating. I also assume that this is why the guy that accused me of cheating was upset - I was simply more experienced as a player. This, of course, does not translate to why that *-hat that used racial slurs wasn't banned, which is a completely different kind of story.

NOW cheater are happy playing in this game, almost every match you will have some cheaters in

EA is surrender to those cheaters, provide playground for those cheaters!!!!!!

seems cheaters are more important than normal players oh!

  • @deapblue01 What kind of cheating are they pulling off? How are they cheating and how, exactly, does it affect you? Which platform are you playing on?
I'm not doubting that there are cheaters active in the game, but if you want the community to back you up you need to provide some intel on what you've experienced.

@ICA_CourierI report thousand times, I am tired to do EA's job, EA didn't pay me! I don't live with this game!
Next time, I'll tell my friends don't buy EA FPS game, cause EA game for cheaters, not for players

    stupid let cheaters play policy

  • @deapblue01 While I fully sympathize with you, you didn't answer any of my questions. What, exactly, have you experienced? What concrete things have you seen? Have you managed to catch anything by video or image? Are there any specific players you can say with certainty have cheated? Are you playing on PC, XB, PS4?
Reporting needs to be substantiated somehow in order to lead to meaningful consequences.

Are you EA game support? You are in charge with cheater problem?

if not, why should I wast my time report to you?

CAN YOU DO ANT THING ABOUT THAT?

before, I used to send video to report system, then what?

those cheaters are still happy playing

So why should I keep wasting my time to do “EA’s job”?

Since EA and Respwan decided to let cheaters keep playing in game instead ban their ID

My solution is telling my friends don’t wast money to buy EA FPS GAME

  • @deapblue01 No, I'm a player of the game and I'm asking because I'm interested in helping, but it's damn hard to do anything about a very non-specific issue. At the very least, I'm trying to help you get attention to your thread by increasing activity in it, but if all you've got is a salty attitude I suppose you can enjoy sulking on your own. If you ever get around to actually talk about this issue I'll gladly hear you out, though. It'd be great to know what to look out for.

I've experienced players snapping around 90 & 180 & more degrees to focus directly on my position ... cloaked or not ... with pilots & titans.  Then it's one shot kills from waaaaay across the map.  I've experienced players obviously knowing I where I was going to be well before I got there and again 1 shot kills.  I've experienced players spinning around directly to me while both they and I were parkouring around and 1 shot killing me with fantastically well aimed shots.

Cheating is real in this game.  Reporting cheaters does no good as it is ignored even if there is video documentation.  It is SHAMEFUL.  Can[t post cheaters names here or you'll be banned for "naming and shaming" ... SAD!

  • @Fenris50Thanks for sharing! Which platform/s are you playing on? I was playing with a friend the other day and he mentioned that someone managed to hit and kil him with an EVA-8 from across the map while playing Attrition on Homestead. I wrote it off as a buggy one-off, but judging by your post it's not. That bit about foresight and flawless aim is something I experienced when playing with said friend; we were playing Attrition on Angel City and some guy joined and the game started to lag like crazy, and this guy lagged about the screen - seizure-like movements that caused him to move around like he was playing red light green light with a strobe - and he had that kind of uncanny aim and foresight. Can't remember his name, though, so can't really report. At first I figured he was an ace player playing on a crappy modem but I assume that some of it may have been cheats.

    Edit: Playing on PS4, fwiw.

@ICA_CourierPlaying mostly Attrition (all maps) on PC. Happens mostly on EU servers but also on all others. While some sketchy playing could be attributed to simple ping lag, it quickly becomes obvious when someone has a cheat suite running. The give-aways are things like uncanny snapping around to a focused aim and 1 shot kill. Some of the more savvy cheaters will turn their software down to where they are always just "slightly faster, "almost" uncanny in their aim, and take "less" damage but not to the point of being so blatant that anti-cheat software would catch them. Then there are the idiots who just don't care. They blaze around focusing on target after target from ridiculous ranges.  Even had one guy send me a friend request after I called him out as a cheater ... LOL!   In the end they are hundreds of points ahead of everyone else, rack up high 20's, 30's even 40's pilot kills but seldom significant numbers of titan kills & often they don't bother with minions. Here's some examples from both TF1 & TF2. I've blacked out the names so that moderators here don't get huffy about "naming and shaming"

  • @Fenris50. Wait, so with these cheating tools the player can design their own damage input/output as well as aim assist and what not? The one-shot auto-aim I knew about and invulnerability wasn't too far-fetched, but to be able to tweak it to disguise the cheats? That's almost impressive. I've been paying a bit more attention to the things you mentioned and I'm fairly certain I've come across the occasional cheater, but I'm also fairly certain that some of the highscoring players are just mad skilled players. On a sidenote, though, do you know if there are some aim assist cheats for frags? I've been unpleasantly surprised by what's either insanely lucked out throws or impossibly well-calculated grenade tosses - think Worms; over obstacles, rolling down a specific cliffside, bouncing inside cover and fragging me. Not saying that both skillful players can't do it nor that throws can't get surprisingly lucky, but they've stacked up considerably lately and it got me curious. Thanks again for sharing what you know!

@ICA_Courier There are, indeed, players out there with just mad skills. They know the game, maps and strategies inside and out. I salute those who have put in the work to gain these skills.

A quick google search for topics like Titanfall2 cheats, Titanfall cheats or the like will turn up many links to sites offering these cheats for sale. Of course many of these sites are probably scams to part the naive from their money, but some are not and the list of mods they offer is indeed impressive.

As for the fantastic grenade tosses ... I personally don't know if those are out there. I suspect they are though. I've also been the victim of those kinds of tactics and am always chagrined, dismayed and astounded all at the same time.

I've come to be resigned that the cheaters are out there to stay and now just play the games to have fun and not to be overly concerned by the bad guys or Respawn's apparent indifference to them. I think of how sad and pathetic a life one must have such that they must cheat at an aging ... but still fun ... video game in order to feel any self-worth or ... maybe it is just all about chest thumping, macho masturbation that gives them the glow of satisfaction.

Anyway ... I'm determined to view them as merely a pathetic annoyance.

    Have fun and Game on!
