Recent update of Origin/Titanfall causing freezing?

Are we gonna get an answer on this, as I want to play the game I paid for..

I have the very same issue. Has it been officially recognised by the devs?

I'm beginning to think they are just trying to ignore the issue..

Thing is, this post was moved from Origin to Titanfall.. However, BF3 & BF 4 have the same issue, and probly some other games..

So has to be an Origin problem.. But seems they just don't really give a .... about it.. Just pass it off to another forum, where admins/devs don't even look, by the looks of it...

Hi people. Just bought the game, had the same problem.

So here is how I fixed it: - Either disable anything like a capture software or steam overlay. - Or go to Origin, right-click Titanfall, properties and check "disable Origin ingame".

You can have Origin ingame enable or your capture software/steam overlay/whatever, but not both.

It has already been said that it does not fix it, that fixes the whole game freezing, because of pc performance and bad optimization of origin overlay, not the issue people is talking about. 

The game does not freeze, there is some kind of lag spike where you see the other players and minions frozen, but you can keep moving. It's a connectivity problem, that appeared with the last patch.

Guys where are you from? cause I was experiencing the problem using the EU west and north data servers. Just changed to US server and apparently there is no problem. So I can play now while they fix this, but its not a solution, I have 150 ping on US servers.

I've not had connection issues much, and I was getting some connection issue's before th latest update..

Origin is screwed up, it's making my whole CPU freeze, NOT just the game.. Figured this out, while watching task manager, while it was open, I can see it freezing, for half to 1 second every 10-20 seconds..

It just so happens, that it seems to be affecting Titanfall the most, seems every other game I have tested, can work around it, obviously, they are written better..

Also, people are having the same issue with BF3 & BF4, so it's NOT a Titanfall specific problem..

Origin has a lot of bad points with it, but this latest update, completely broke it, ALWAYS tells me 'Origin overlay is disabled' within Titanfall, when in the options.. It's not..

And now these freezes from it..

I've not tried disabling the Steam overlay, but wtf should I? just coz Origin is broken? Steam overlay is far better, and works!

No official answer yet.. Hell they lazy support, haven't even bothered to acknowledge the issue.. Not even a 'We're working on it..'

So I've not played Titanfall for 4 days so far because of this, maybe I should go see Trading Standards, as I now have 'Software not fit for purpose'..

Oh and joining a US server for me, is not an option.. I shouldn't have to attempt to play, with a 150+ ping, just because, they fluffed up an update.

SO I think, if it's still broken in.. 2 weeks from now.. I'll be asking for a refund...

Could you please try disabling Origin In Game to see if the issue still occurs after this? You can disable Origin In Game if you go to the Origin menu in the top left corner of the client, then Application Settings and Origin In game.

I was experiencing this and fixed it. Having Origin overlay disabled in-game Titanfall isn't enough. You have to disable it in the Origin options as well/instead. I couldn't play for a couple days until I figured this out. Hope it works for you guys too.

Stop telling people to disable origin overlay... its not the same problem that we are having. Everyone knows about disabling origin overlay. If you dont have any solutions please stop spamming that.

It's not performance or fps drops. It has to do with the european servers, the other enemies and players get frozen online, NOT THE WHOLE GAME, you can move, aim, shoot, whatever you want, while the lag is happening. It's a connectivity problem, only happening in european servers since last update.

The origin overlay creates performance drops and stuttering in almost every origin game cause it is a piece of **bleep**. This is only in titanfall.

Foxy, you're talking about a different problem entirely. Re-read the original post. This is a problem where your whole computer freezes for about 1 second during gameplay.

I also get this and it's consistently freezing for 1 second when I die, when I respawn, when the game ends and we get to lobby and it tallies the XP, and then at random other times that I can't decipher.

Anybody have a fix yet?
