Regarding Titanfall 2

Hey there, EA:ers!

I've got two questions that needs answers.

1. Have you abandoned the Titanfall 2 area of the forum? There's a pretty sour vibe over there seeing as there are some nasty reoccuring issues that haven't been anywhere near addressed enough.

2. One of said issues is about the latest DDoS attack that has rendered the multiplayer aspect of the game unplayable. Last we heard, two technicians were allocated to sorting it out, but this was months ago when there was another DDoS attack that did they same thing. All in all, three or four attacks have been crippling the game this year alone, leaving debilitating connectivity issues in their wake when they finally cease. Can anyone let us know what's going on, what's being done to fix it and approximately how long this is going to take?

    For anyone reading thinking I've dropped my marbles: I posted this in the General Question forum and was trying to inform them of the rampant neglect of the Titanfall 2 forum, hoping for some answers. Got noped, had the thread moved back into the abandoned mess of atrocious silence that is the Titanfall 2 area of the forum. These EA representatives are quick in all the wrong ways.

    Congratulations on getting a response, I’ve tried Respawn direct and had nothing back. 

    These attacks on Titanfall 2 are the worst.

    @V3n0m_D3ath2541 While I totally understand your frustration - I'd be boiling if fed that generic schtick - I can say from the point of view of a customer service rep that bringing all that salt into the conversation probably didn't support your case. I commend you for slapping that bs out early but I think you would've won significantly more by linking the guy to this forum or another trustworthy site that's reported on the issue. It's far less likely he can wave the complaints away like he did if he's got some 40 pages of enraged Titanfall 2 players all complaining over the same issue and having said issue acknowledged by EA forum representatives. Regardless, somewhere along the EA ladder the communication is deliberately being messed with about this issue, that much is clear as day, so EA has two problems: the * DDoS of their servers and the fact that they still, after nearly a year, still can't seem to get the word around on what's going on and whether or not their working on it.

    While I was playing Titanfall 2 and it kept freezing and and kicking me out when I was searching for a map and when I was in a match when it froze it said I had 2559 PING, WHICH IS INSANE, 

    Im sure you get what I mean, just please tell me how to fix it.

    @ethan153678910 I'll be upfront and say I'm not an EA or Respawn representative, but the short answer is that you can't. The problem isn't on the client side, it's part of a DDoS attack and it needs to be taken care of by the party responsible for the upkeep of the multiplayer servers (i.e. not you). Rumours has it that something is being done but for the better part of 2021 nothing significant has been done. Players have reported a new error message nowadays which could mean that the active party is working on a fix and the new error message is due to code being replaced (albeit a bit wonky for now, hence the connectivity issues leading to the new error message). I highly recommend you read any of the trending threads here at the forum to get a better understanding of the situation.

    Tl:dr; You can't.

    I love TF2, but the online issues are getting to be too much.  I am most frustrated that they can't even put up a message in the game to this known problem, so they make us jump through a bunch of hoops thinking the issue is on our end.  After weeks of trying to fix my Xbox and ISP I found that everything is fine on my end.  I was only playing TF2 and BF 2042, both of which had major online issues.  Makes sense now that EA is the problem. Is EA thinking there is no money in TF2 so just let it be?  I personally stopped buying EA games because of this.  I was really looking forward to Battlefield 2042, but with similar online issues during trial I moved on.  If they won't support existing games, why risk buying new ones?

    @TheLuchadoro As far as I've been told, Respawn are responsible for server and game maintenance and since the game is 'old' they've likely moved on to other projects. EA, in the role of publisher, simply produce, market and sell the game. If true, in this case, that would mean that EA makes money off of a bust up game that Respawn refuse to fix.

    This is the message I got after reinstalling the game after a long hiatus and I go to log in to multiplayer and it loads into a match already in progress with 5 players on Frontier Defense when there should only be 4 and then it dumps me to the main menu with this error: error client/cl_gamestate.gnut #485 [client] the index doesn't exist -.- all I wanted to do was run around in my scorch titan on frontier defense and nope. Learned of the DDoS attack that occurred some time ago and it hasn't been fixed since. What the hell?
