Retrying connection to the server
I've tried multiple servers and I'm getting constant "Retrying Connection to Server" notices while in game. These appear every 3-5 seconds, and briefly lock up the game. Game is completely unplayable...

I have the same issue...however...I have noticed that it only strikes at night time. For instance, during the day yesterday I could play fine, but last night was just "retring connection to server" every 5 seconds in game. Same thing for today, during the day it was fine, now I'm getting the unplayable "retrying connection to server."
I suspect the 'night time' thing as well. I was playing all day today without much issue but at night, it's become unplayable. I'll see what happens tomorrow during the day. I too suspect the severs just can't handle it now that more and more people have bought the game.
