Steam -Multiplayer locked "Origin is offline". Only fix is buying game on EA too
The long story short is that I have bought the game 2 days ago over Steam and the only problem I have is that the multiplayer is locked with the following message "Origin is offline". Now I have done multiple things to try to fix this from reinstalling, restarting, Enabling NETBios, making a new environment variable and at least a few more fixes ive found over internet or was suggest to by EA support, yes I also checked EA does launch along with the game etc. . THE ONLY FIX I FOUND which is ridiculous because it actually worked and fixed it instantly is BUYING Titanfall 2 on EA TOO. The moment I did that multiplayer fixed itself.
Of course I didn't want to pay for something twice because I got the game on Steam so I refunded and well instantly it stopped working after that with multiplayer locked behind "Origin is offline".
So the obvious issue is that for some reason if you have the game on Steam something in the code, at least in my case probably isn't clicking the right way with EA Play and is not connecting me to multiplayer on Titanfall 2 but if you own the EA version it starts working. WHAT I ALSO NOTICED which is probably the reason for this, I apparently down own the base Titanfall 2 game on EA(probably bcs the Steam version is a different edition) hence how I could buy it in the first place.
My question is would you be kind to fix this for me by, I don't know perhaps making it so my account simply owns the base game on EA, I already have the game anyway just on a different launcher so it wouldn't really change anything aside fixing this problem.
Hey @1NeoWolf
Can we try the following steps?
- Try running the client and game as an admin
- Close other running applications on your device
- Connection and Advance Connection Guides
- Repair your game via the EA App - Repair (Library > Tile Dots > Repair)
- Clear EA App's Cache (Top Left Menu > Help > App Recovery)
- Check for other applications that may be limiting EA App or Game performance
- Run the System File Checker tool, then Check for Windows and GPU updates
- Restart your device in Clean Boot mode first then try again.
Cheers!
