So I've re downloaded Titanfall 2 on my Xbox One S and it keeps saying my profile isn't permitted to play online. I've tried a hole bunch of different things but I just can't seem to be able to get it to work. If anyone and give some advice to get it working again that would be appreciated
EA Staff (Retired)Same as OP. I've not played this game in years and redownloaded it. I've:
* Changed DNS server settings
* Ensured privacy settings allow online play
* Cleared alternate MAC address
* Disabled remote features, port forwarding
* Signed into my EA account, removed the connection to Xbox, then re-added it. It correctly associated my EA username to my Xbox live name
* Changed data centers from the TF2 main menu
* Played a few missions in the campaign
* Deleted save data from local and cloud
* Restarted several times: Xbox, routers/networking equipment
The fact that the error message is so vague and search results recommend any and all of the above says no one actually knows what causes this and how to fix it with any certainty. Some of these suggestions are just one step shy of being as ridiculous as telling folks to make sure the power button on their Xbox faces west or to only use red ethernet cables.
Which is a shame because this shouldn't be hard or "elusive" with helpful messages or diagnostic logging. Development basics.
Had just cancelled my Xbox Game Pass a few weeks ago, but reactivated the subscription. Which shouldn't be required(?) - I redownloaded this game after I cancelled and the subscription lapsed (because the Game Pass tab disappears leaving only my "Owned" games)
But wouldn't you know it - resubscribe, reboot Xbox and it works. So like, crazy thought bear with me here - why not just say "you need a subscription to play"?
I was playing a match 2 days ago and during which I shut down the game and reopened it. But when I went back on to titanfall 2 the multiplayer won't open up anymore, it simply says that my profile is not permitted to play online.
Any help?
