Titan Fall 2 "data center: searching" message

it says "data center: searching" and multiplayer is locked. how do I fix it?

I purchased and downloaded Titanfall 2 on Steam recently. I'm running an 11th Gen intel i5 on Windows 11 Pro. 

My internet connection is wired. When I run TItanfall 2, either through the Steam menu or desktop shortcut, it opens EA in the background and proceeds to launch. 
My issue is that when the game loads, campaign mode works fine, but I cannot play multiplayer. The "Launch Multiplayer" button is locked, the text menu under settings says "Contacting Respawn Servers..." and in the lower left corner I see "Data Center: Searching..." This is happening seeming infinitely.

I have a friend with a similar PC build whom I gifted the game through Steam. He is also wired into the same router as I am, on a similar PC, and launching the game from Steam or his desktop icon. The first time he loaded into the game, he was able to play without issue. 

I am unsure what I must do to fix this, and if anyone can assist it would be greatly appreciated.

Hi, looks like this issue has been going on for years. The Electronic Arts representative said the team is going to be looking at it. The representatives don't seem to be aware of the issue but after looking online and hearing the responses here this issue seems to be a known issue. It would be nice if Electronic Arts can fix this issue. It's not ok that you can buy the multiplayer version on steam and are met with this issue without any mention during the sale. Then Initial EA reps are unaware and do random troubleshooting that does nothing.

    I appreciate the reply and your sentiment.

    I've seen much of the same online. Most fixes don't seem to go anywhere, and all the troubleshooting I've seen EA recommend is poor at best. 
    Extremely unfortunate, I even gifted the game through Steam to multiple friends, extremely excited to squad up in multiplayer on one of my favorite games from my Xbox days. 

    Is there anything out there on other methods of installing the game that don't run into this issue?
