Given that this thread's been dead for some two weeks I figured it was time to ask the question of if it's at all likely that the game's multiplayer will be playable at any point during the remainder of the the year? What's the news? Are the hardcore technicians able to crack the conundrum of the ddos attacks and allow for access to the game, even if a bit shaky like that period of playability during summer, or is it decidedly down for the foreseeable future?
The game is playable most of the time in amsterdam and frankfurt 1/2 at the moment, but the periodic crashes on the MP menu are very much still there, and editing anything there will result in a crash (like loadouts n stuff)
- 4 years ago@CursedAuroran So basically the same as during summer? At least that means it's playable, I'll take that. Thanks for letting me know.
- 4 years ago@ICA_Courier basically the same yes, but idk for how long
- 4 years ago@CursedAuroran I'll be sure to scrounge up a friend or two and make the most of it this weekend. Thanks again!

Gave it a shot last night. At around 2-3 a.m. on Frankfurt 1 and 2 (tried the on first, switched when it didn't work). Spent nearly half an hour just waiting for it to find a match. Is this an issue now or is the problem on my end somehow? I was connected to the [ADV] network and could clearly see more players than I'd care to count, so I doubt that lack of players was an issue and even if almost all were in games I doubt that I'd have to wait for as long as I did to connect to a match. Regardless, I'll try again today but figured I'd stay ahead of the curve and ask. All the best, fellow pilots!

Respawn/EA (I dont even know who to beg to for working servers anymore), the Titanfall 2 servers are becoming increasingly unstable from my experience, with crash to main menu happening significantly more often than what was normal a month ago. We paid for this game, the least we can expect is the basic ability to play the multiplayer. Please, stop it with the PR bull**** and do something, for Titanfall, Titanfall 2 and Apex, as that game is unstable as hell too now

The game's multiplayer is playable now, it seems. I've spent a few hours here and there playing, trying out different servers, and sure enough I get dropped out of the lobby very frequently but when I connect to a game it's smooth and solid gameplay. It's a bit frustrating to have to disconnect from match making, edit Pilot/Titan/Boost, manually drop out to the main menu, re-enter multiplayer and match making, but at least now I can enjoy the game. Turns out this forced hiatus has messed up my skills, so it's been a mixed bag having to find my mojo again.
- 4 years ago@ICA_Courier its sort of like saying the bridge works, as it is still hanging, even if the ropes keeping it up are in a furthered state of decay. Dont get me wrong, I experience the same thing, but the menu thing bugs me to no avail, plus theres the fact that I highly doubt the server issue is fixed yet, and that the DoSer is just waiting for TF2 to fade from public view again to continue
- 4 years ago@CursedAuroran Fair points all around, mate. It's far from perfect, or even fully decent, but at least now that which looks like a duck quacks like a duck, hopefully we'll live to see the day it behaves like a duck as well. For now I'm glad to be able to enjoy a good 2-3 matches before getting dropped and having to reconnect. I even managed to play a 2P party a couple of days ago. It was slightly less stable and dropped one of us every so often but usually we were able to finish 2 games before having to start over. To reiterate: not at all decent enough, but I'll enjoy this while it lasts.
