Titanfall 2 locks up my Computer while playing certain Maps in Frontier Defense
First off, I love this game. Especially Frontier Defense. Unfortunately, trying to play maps like War Games or Angel City has become impossible. The game goes to black on my screen as well as my other monitors and forces the monitors to go in to sleep mode. I can still hear my friends speak on Discord and talk to them, or listen to music on Spotify, but there is no way to recover the computer from this point. I can't CTRL/ALT/DEL or utilize any other keys on my keyboard, nor can I click my mouse buttons to wake up my screens . It is completely crippled from this point. The only way to get out of it is a hard reset to the computer. If either of those 2 maps come up, I have to leave the match before I can even pick a titan before I run in to this issue. If another map besides the two I mentioned is loaded, I can feel confident that at this point, I can play. But I do not want to be a slave to just a few maps.
Is there anything I can do to rectify this problem? To save time, let me tell you what I have done:
1) I tried repairing game files the game through Origin, multiple times
2) I've tried uninstalling the game and reinstalling the game
3) I made sure that my Windows drivers and Video Card Drivers are up to date
4) I added more ram from 16 to 32gigs just in case there were too many applications on at once (I'm a streamer so I thought it could be an issue)
I can also give you my specs for the computer I am using to avoid wasting time:
- ASUS MAXIMUS VII HERO
- INTEL CORE I7 4790K LGA 1150
- 32 GB CORSAIR VENGENCE DDR3 1600 MHZ
- 4GB GDDR5 EVGA GEFORCE GTX 980
- RUNNING WINDOWS 10
- 3 ASUS 24" MONITORS - 2 connected by HDMI and the other with DVI
Please keep in mind that the game ran fine for a long time until last year. I'm not sure if it could have been an update issue or something else entirely but I'm out of options. I've even tried looking this problem up in multiple forums to no avail. I figured I would hear it straight from the horse's mouth. I know that this game may not be looked at when there is a problem with the same sense of urgency considering it's been out for a while, but I love playing it and it's my base game for when I stream. Please reply with something I may be able to try that was not already done above. Please advise.
