Titanfall 2 uses CPU vram for texture streaming budget

As the title explains, my game uses the mere 512mb of VRAM from the AMD Radeon Graphics, instead of the 8000mb from the AMD GPU. This is the only game where it happens, all others games switch or detect without problem the GPU. I can't make it my computer only detect the GPU as it is a laptop which has the feature to automatically switch between the two graphics options.

For additional information:

I am on Windows 11 22H2

On an Asus laptop

run the game on the EA app

I tried the method of editing the "settings.cfg" file, and it worked, but I was wondering if there is a proper way to fix the issue?

Is there a way to fix this? This only happens on the EA app or too in the steam version?

  • I've got the notice to disappear by disabling the Integrated graphics in device manager. I guess you could do it in bios too. Might be dangerous but it works.

  • I'm having the same issue, just bought the game and now it doesn't detect my dedicated GPU and my CPU heats up after 10 minutes

    My device: HP Omen 16

    Ryzen 5 5600h

    AMD Radeon 6600m

    How about you?

    found a solution?

  • @Outter286 I also have such a problem. My graphics card is an RX 7800XT, and my processor is an AMD Ryzen 7 7700. In the game, I get a warning that the detected amount of VRAM memory is 512MB.
