A full re-install of Windows is always a very last resort when troubleshooting any issue.
It is possible that this particular issue could be caused by having used VPN/Proxy software at some point. Try removing any/all VPN or Proxy software and additionally remove any modifications that software may have made to your Windows network environment.
I'm kind of a noob at doing anything computer wise, but how would I do that?

Anything EA help center told me to do didn't solve this Ive tried everything from forwarding/opening ports to re installing the game and origin. The only thing that seems to work is completely restoring your computer but im not going to go spend $100 on a external drive to get my game I already payed for to work. Really hoping for a solid fix to this ive spend 10 hours trying everything to get this game to work and its a huge dissapointment.
- Anonymous11 years agoI've tried reinstalling repairing. Turning off anti virus and firewall. I bought this game at launch and still am unable to play. I have given poor reviews anywhere I could on this game because of this problem. I have windows 7 x64 nvidea 285 m all drivers are up to date I'm gonna keep bumping until a solution is found.
I have tried EVERYTHING to get this to work. I dont think its an issue with my router Ive tried Disabling Firewall. opening and forwarding specific ports for Titanfall. Bypassing My router and putting it into a DMZ to allow access and the game still gets the engine error. I have uninstalled and re installed Titanfall and Origin. EA help center has tried to help me by doing a UO trace and none of their suggestions have solved the issue. This seems to happen somewhat often with modern source engine games but the solutions that have fixed other games with the same engine error like changing launch settings or using console commands cant be done with origin or have not solved the issue either. I have put in a riddiculous amount of effort to trying to fix this. I would restore windows but I have no external hardrive to save over 500gb of data I need thats on my computer. Really hope this get's more attention and someone can find a fix EA help has tried to be usefull but they can't seem to fix it. Really wanna play this game but if it doesnt happen soon I would love a refund to get dark souls 2. Why support a developer when you can't even play their game. ( resetting router to factory settings doesn't work either).

Same Problem here... 5 hours chatting with support and it still doesent work. Try so many things. I think its not cool, to spend so much money and then you cant play it. I hope it will be fixed soon as possible, and that the people with this issue get a little compensation...

I completly agree with you. I nearly tried everything, but still keep getting the same error.
Come on EA or Respawn, please fix this and give us some compensation! - Anonymous11 years agoBump bump bump bump
