Titanfall.exe has stopped working

Im getting the same error. Hoping for help!

I got the exact same message, Im starting to lose all faith in EA and origin, I've never had one of EAs games run smootly or work properly in the last years

It would seem like it is a DirectX error.. Going to try to figure it out, but if anyone else can, here is the crash log.

Alas, I don't know of any fix yet. You can check the other thread to see what I've tried and didn't work, so you don't have to go through it also. Also, if you have the time, please "Me Too" to that thread so we'd know more accurately how many people are affected by this bug.

Ideally, these threads should merge, so we'd see only one instead of so many small ones -- but I don't know if that's possible in this forum.

I have had the same problem with Titanfall since the beta. I purchased this game on Saturday hoping that the issue would be resolved, but alas, I have spent the past two days with customer support as well as combing through various forums looking for a solution, but it seems like there is none.

Just to clarify on exactly what the issue is: Whenever I launch the game, I'll make it to the main menu, but only if I'm in windowed mode, then when I hit play, I get a few seconds of intro, and then the game crashes. Sometimes I get no intro, but I always get the same error message, "Titanfall.exe has stopped working". I have played zero seconds of this game. I have yet to see what the match making lobby even looks like. Customer support told me that if I want my money back I have to go to gamestop which won't give me my money because I have already used the key that came with the game. So in other words I'm out 60 bucks. Thanks EA.

If anyone has ANY solutions that work for this, please let us know. I have tried EVERYTHING. Including reinstalling in safemode, disabling my firewall, deleting temp files, running as admin, etc

you could try adding the -novid line to your shortcut to get rid of the intro videos. I am not saying that this will fix the issue, but the issue that many of us are having is after we get through the videos and we get to the screen titled "Private Lobby". It is at this time that we get the titanfall.exe has stopped working error message.

Well, I added the -novid to the launch target path in the shortcut settings. It stopped the beginning scenes, such as the credits and Title, but sadly, it did not work. Nice idea though

Ok, I just contacted a friend that used to be in the Xbox Launch team, and he said that from the crash log showed earlier, it IS probably a DirectX Error. He will try to figure it out, but he did not understand why it did not fix the problem when you reinstalled. 

Yes - it is associated with the materialsystems dx11.dll or something like that. Respawn apparently is working on the issue, however looking back on their forums and on here this seems to be an issue that has been around for a while (people were complaining about this issue back at the end of March) but this particular instance might not be directly related to the older instance. I have done about 20 different things - at the direction of EA help chat - to try and fix this on my end and the final verdict was it was not an issue on my side - or at least not with my hardware. Hopefully they will have something figured out soon though...

It might not be a bad idea for anyone else who is having this issue to also go and post in the PC Bug thread with their specs so they can get a better idea of what is going on with this issue. I would also suggest listing when you purchased and initially installed the game, as I believe this issue is only happening to people who have purchased and installed the game after 4/10/14.
