Unable to purchase Weapon Warpaint - Origin browser window times out

Platform: PC.
Issue: Unable to purchase warpaints. Origin browser window fail to complete the transaction, returning the error message, "We had some trouble processing your request. There could be an issue with your order, please check your order history to see if your transaction was completed successfully, if not, try again later."
Can this be reproduced 100% of the time: yes.

Region: HK, Asia.
ISP: HKBN.
Connection speed: 1 gig up/down, uncapped.

Nothing shows up on my transaction history, and I'm getting no transaction rejected text messages from my bank, so I'm guessing the request from the in-game storefront isn't making it to the Origin api.

Have tried an Origin reinstall with cache clear, Windows temp directory purge, DNS flush, bootable services check, Titanfall 2 file validation, etc. EA support is only coming up with generic ideas now, most of which aren't applicable, or that we've already tried.

No joy at all. Am getting the feeling some change with Origin may have broken the in-game purchase referral?

  • @EA_Atic Already have done. Case #54537383, which reached no conclusion. We did everything obvious, as far as a messing with my boot list, etc. Meanwhile, at least two other users are reporting the same issue on the Titanfall 2 forums.

    I'd like to keep this matter visible - very few people are going to register a support case when they can't buy skins. Replying to something like this, or the forum thread, is less effort.

    That said, it's an old game. I'm not sure there's an interest in fixing the problem if it is server/code-side, anyway.

    A shame. I really wanted to support the franchise.
