VC++ runtime redistributable package was not installed successfully (1612)

Hi all and Happy New Year!

This is driving me crazy... Over the holidays, I downloaded BattlefieldS 1 and 4, with no problem and enjoying them. At the same time, I downloaded Titanfall 2 DeLuxe Edition (I already have Titanfall 1 and played that for many hours...). But Installing Titanfall 2 gives me the above error message. So, I came to these forums and followed various recommendations, and went to Youtube for advice. But nothing helps! I've Uninstalled VC++, all versions, downloaded 2010 2013 and 2015 VC++ packages, pasted those into the relevant Folder, Run the .exe programs, Restarted my PC, all to no avail. Have emailed Support, spent hours on the phone to India and some very patient young men, but they work to a script, and so there's still no joy.

As I've typed this, I thought maybe I could just copy the VC++ files from the Battlefield 1/4 Folders, as they obviously work for those programs. Maybe they will work with Titanfall 2 too... but if anyone has any other brilliant ideas, I'd be very grateful for your help!

I'm struggling to understand why this is a problem, surely in this day and age, we shouldn't be expected to have to solve this kind of error??

    @MistaSilva Hey, copying stuff from the other folders wouldn't help. You can run the appropriate VC packages again as it won't really do any harm, but I suspect it won't help. If you ran them once and there wasn't an obvious problem, running them again from another location won't have an effect.

    Back on your issue, what version of Windows do you have? Sometimes this issue can be caused by missing updates, can you try checking for said OS updates?

    Thanks.

    Hi David, thanks for your response! I'm afraid I'm clutching at straws here...

    I'm on Windows 8.1, and as far as I know, all Updates are in place, but I shall have another look at that.

    are u try to reinstall vc++ in this way?

    a) all install run as Admin;
    b) before install this, delete all already installed versions;
    c) if you have x64 OS, you'd install x32 and x64 packages of all versions:

    VC2005 (хххххх80.dll), VC2008 (хххххх90.dll), VC2010 (ххххх100.dll),

    VC2012 (ххххх110.dll), VC2013 (ххххх120.dll), VC2015 (ххххх140.dll)
