Check out my Springfield replica!

Hey everyone! I've been playing TSTO since it was first released. Throughout the years, I've spent way more time on this game than I would like to admit. No doubt addicting! Although it has been tough since I hit my building limit years ago (and continue to do so to this day), I'm quite proud of what it has become. I just always tried to keep it as realistic as possible. I try to create distinct neighborhoods (residential, industrial, retail, etc.) separated by wide rivers. I provide each building with a lot, and provide parking, road access, walkways and landscaping for each lot. I stuck with this design plan since the beginning. Let me know what you think and if you have any questions. Also, feel free to add! I have way too many neighbors with random stuff all over the place and it drives me nuts! I may be a bit OCD....

for what it's worth, I agree with you on this - while I see where others come from on the issue, it IS your game, you aren't inconveniencing anyone else with it, and some of the restrictions make zero sense from a design point of view. How you can place dirt under some buildings but not others, or how the cobblestone road doesn't create a bridge when you put a river through it... but that's how it is, so there we go. We all make choices and this is a discussion for another thread/forum :smiley:

You've done a great job and it looks amazing.. more land and a higher item limit would definitely help in the future!

@jofre_nash Unfortunately I still do have the item limit problem, if that's what you're referring to. Probably the biggest annoyance in this game for people who like to decorate a lot. If you're referring to the ability to obtain items that the normal game limits, then, nope I don't have that issue! I think I have 5 cherry trees and 4 lemon trees which I absolutely love

@allen_c_lin I see your point, that indeed makes your springfield unique in a way. I guess you don't have the cap limit problem right? Also, I am with you in that, grinding to getting SH was a hassle, but well earned and fulfilling. Those modifications, for sure, make it a visually attractive town.

@1pillform I still have lots of room to build, surprisingly! The whole top right of my town is just full of water, I just remove it as needed.

@jofre_nash No worries, I'm not offended, I get it. Although in my defense, I built the majority of my town without a modified version of the game and did so for years. Things like the Squidport and Springfield Heights are major grinds and those were earned rightfully so. LOVE all those designs for your town. The thing is I can't imagine your town being that big if your using THAT much water in your town which takes up quite a bit of space. Using the water to separate everything all the time leaves less room to work with. But I still love it nonetheless. And it also gives me some ideas for mine. My town is ehh it's okay but I could probably do a hell of a lot better if I re-design some areas. I love designing as well but with the item "cap" it makes it harder to do. Because all I want to do is design and I keep getting warned about being over the limit or what have you.

@allen_c_lin I unfortunately removed you from my neighbors. As cool as your town looks I can't be neighbors with a player that modifies the game. It's personal point of view. Maybe others feel otherwise, which is fine.
