struggling to make pumpkin house and gingerbread house fit in.

The freakshow tent, gingerbread house and pumpkin house are all together at the edge of my Springfield, near the Muntz house and Cletus' farm. Makes sense to me because after all, who but a financially-challenged person would live in a hollowed-out gourd or a gingerbread house? At some point I plan to surround them with more trees and flowers, but I'm saving up to buy the Spinster City Apartments at the moment.
