My second post is for my brand new Barnacle Bay pier, where longshoremen can work and hang out. I’ve been wanting to build an honest to God pier separate from the shopping-oriented Squidport for nearly a decade. Now I’ve got a dock to stash my ships. - Castiel_ToukSeasoned NewcomerNot really done much but here's my final design.

https://i.imgur.com/9nbEbn2.jpg - 4junk3000New SpectatorI struggled with tearing up a much-loved design, my previous Marina entrance; to integrate the new Barnacle Bay land-pier bridge we earned this event. But I’m super happy with an improved and more detailed Marina, an improved AquaWorld Dam, an improved SF Tar Pits, and a more logical roadway design.
This elevated view shows the transition from the beach resort area’s South End, to the industrial side of the coastline.
This mosaic was captured during an animation glitch, so some things are active that may not often be seen. The deck chairs are waving their arms continuously, the convict is jumping in the water, the Laser Tag Warehouse is open, the “Mon’thter” is both on the tower and activating the sunken lair inside the vortex, the prehistoric fish is in the lake and the adjacent garage is open, the raptors are active in the dome and the arena, the fish recycler is closed, and the helicopter is flying.
Love these new mooring posts and light poles!
The redesign started with moving the Marina entrance to the left side of the Tar Pits.
I crafted up a military pier to give these ships a suitable home port.
I picked up over 500 new railings.
This purchase allowed me to measure I’m 261 pieces from the max limit :(
I’m disturbed that no one actually RIDES the new carousel, like the Christmas version this is replacing
The new tent stands fit in my Flaming Guy Festival perfectly, which needed more vendors!
And I’m impressed with the new ability to buy more tiles! I wonder if 500 will be a hard ceiling cap, or if the yellow sub will still bring them up in the water?
What a fun event. Thanks, @EA! - smharris129Seasoned NewcomerRegarding boardwalk tiles. I have 402 in storage and and estimate over 200 placed. The yellow submersible stills brings them up for me.
Somebody has probably already done the math on this but according to my calculations it would take 1,912 boardwalk tiles to cover the ocean area if you use the area select trick to drag sections onto the beach. The mountains between Springfield and Springfield Heights block 8 tiles from being placed. (12 × 160 - 8)
Without using the area select to drag tiles it would take 1,756 tiles. (11 × 160 - 4) - skollthewolfRising Novice
Got a two-parter here. First are my updates to Squidport. I moved the first carousel to Itchy & Scratchy Land, allowing the maritime carousel to replace it. Pity there’s no animation of people riding it. I also found a spot for the candy shop. - 4junk3000New SpectatorThank you for sharing this analysis data! I will keep the yellow sub working around the clock!
Also, for anyone who hasnt noticed; both the SP and the BB entrances create tiles. (But not the fancy pier)
