Every ten cuts your IGC down by 1.3 to 1.5 million. 1000 drops it by ten times that. 4000+ would put you back to ZERO! Then you can start collecting all over again.
As an additional time extender, store your IRS building. Store as much of your % bonus items to really extend the time it takes to earn IGC.
