Mine is the same way, it categorizes stuff like:
Recently acquired stuff (this is why event stuff, debris, and monorail track is usually at the start)
Buildings
Buildings again (but the alphabetizing starts over, not sure why)
Decorations
Decorations again (alphabetizing starts again)
Characters
Skins
I think everybody's is like this. It's maddeningly annoying and very easy to fix I'm sure as are most of the other bugbears in this game, EA just can't be bothered. It's a case of we'll rake in the money, just be thankful we're blessing you with this game.
