I'm seeing nothing in the definition that could feasibly be seen as having a negative connotation, by anyone, even at the most extreme. Thus, I'm wracking my brain to figure out how your post could be interpreted as a clever retort. Maybe you just heard other people use it, and just never looked up the definition for yourself? It's as if you wrote "Haha forum members."
