The game I got 6 donuts in the other day is pure Freemium. Never spent a donut I hadn't been awarded or won. Yesterday I got 2 donuts, and today I got 1. I think. I really should keep better track...

I have been at max FP for at least a month now. I visit 70-80 friends every day and I haven't seen a donut pop out ever during visits. Do you actually see the doughnut during visits, or does it just add to your total when you get back home? Since first reading this post, I have been comparing donut totals before and after visiting. Also, I don't usually wait for the "Thanks for visiting your neighboreeno" screen and am wondering if that makes a difference. Could be I am just unlucky, but I would appreciate any pointers in upping my odds of donuts. I have much more time that I can spend on this game than money :!:

I don't usually wait for the thank you at the end and don't wait to see what i got. I go for the 3 closest things to tap and leave. it really is all luck. After doing the 2 week test...i've only got 1since the test so don't fret it.

I always wait for the thank you note. I usually don't notice the donut itself pop out, but I hear Homer saying "mmm, premium currency".

I don't think I get donuts as frequently as some are reporting, but then I don't have a full set of neighbours and I don't visit as often between events. I think my numbers are closer to 1 donut every two rounds, or thereabouts. Still not bad. :)

The max I ever got was 6 in one day. Usually I would say I rarely get a donut, or one or 2 every few days. (Note - I don't have a full friend list - usually 50 or fewer.) However, I noticed if I slow down while tapping through neighbors' towns I "get" donuts more frequently. Which means I miss them when in a hurry, or EA is granting more now. I will keep track of total donuts.

Ive been tapping past max fp for awhile, after reading this yesterday, I actually got one donut. Premium player and this is the first time its happened. Hope i get a bunch soon. ( can't complain, got a few from sideshow bob's kl game and got 60 on halloween from a treat bag. Scored some at Christmas)

It appears with the cash and XP after tapping something. You also hear Homer say, "MMMMMM... Premium Currency...", when it collects..

I was skipping the Thanks popup - until I realized my donut numbers didn't seem to be right for the number I remembered seeing as I tapped. So I stopped doing that and wait for the Thanks now.

Let's see... I wait for the Thanks (or quickly tap the payout) before moving to the next town. It only takes 5 seconds if you wait, less if you're a fast tapper. Yes, that would add 8.3 minutes to your total time, but... It's only 8.3 minutes! It can take me longer than that to hunt through a town for something to tap, then go to their Krustyland because I couldn't find 3 things to tap, then go to the neighborhood and look them up to see how long it's been since they played... (2 weeks? Oh, no wonder...)

I almost never vandalize - don't know if that has anything to do with it - but...

I always chase down Sideshow Bob when I see him or get the "Sideshow Bob has escaped" message. I think I've figured out that it means that he's hiding when you get the message - but that's not always the case: sometimes I'll be hunting for something to tap (or when we were dropping Feds) and just spot him and he'll be WAY across town from the landing point. I usually skip back to the previous town when I get the message - when I return to the town it schwings me over to where he is. Once again: don't know - but...

Today I only got 1 donut in town A, and 2 in town B. Yesterday I got 3 in both towns. I must be doing something right - hardly a day goes by when I don't get at least 1 donut per town.

Oh, how is your Conform-o-Meter rating? Mine are at 3 and 3.5. If I can ever get far enough ahead on cash to buy more stores, restaurants, trees, and decorations I could build it up to 5 on both...

While I'm thinking about it... It completely slipped my mind when I was posting earlier that during the Winter 2014 Part 2 event I was getting 4 to 6 donuts a day in the neighborhood. I was tapping as many Cannons and Elf Caves as possible to get the extra Bell payouts and getting gobs. Possibility: There are designated 'donut bonus' items that are more likely to pay out donuts every day? I wouldn't put it past the programmers (or designers) to do something like that. It wouldn't be too hard to set it up so that they were randomly selected from a list every day or every time you entered the neighborhood...

Thanks wadebear for all the suggestions! I have a conform-o-meter rating of 4.5 on a level 48 town and started at the end of COC. Like you, I don't vandalize and go for Bob. I will definitely start waiting on the "Thanks" screen and slow down. I have the time and I'm sure it took you more than 8.3 minutes for the suggestions. I will also start to un-mute when I visit and listen for Homer. My family got a little tired of the audio when I started playing obsessively. I still consider myself a newbie and appreciate the tips.

I have been getting 1-2 regularly with 100 neighbors. I periodically get 3 or 4 but seldom get 5 or 6.

I wanted to try and explain the math better but I am afraid I am a little rusty of statistics and probability. But doing test rolls online for a 1% chance. AKA any 1 number on a d100. The range was from 0 to 6 times X number came up in 300 rolls. I think the probability is 3% to get 1 donut out of 300 taps if the chance is 1% to get 1 donut. But given that is seems more likely to get 2 donuts out of 300 taps I can't reconcile that with math. Because statistically we should be getting more days with just one donut than 2 donuts. Yet this does not appear to be the case. My brain hurts from watching lesson plans on probability. This much I know the probability of getting 1 success out of 300 is higher than getting 2 success out of 300. Yet it seems like almost every day I get 2 donuts. I do recall getting 3 donuts some days but I can't quite put a relational amount vs the days I get 2 donuts. Except that I'm getting 2 donuts per day far more often than 1 or none at all. In fact in my experience I'm more likely to get donuts than I am to not get any at all. This seems to be contrary to the math. So it has me wondering if there is more to us getting donuts from friend taps than just probability.
