When you get this message, what do you remove from your game? Also, I'm assuming it's a one-for-one type thing? Or is it file size or something else? Anyone know?

Never had one of those. For me it says something like "Your have 9000 items and the recommended amount is 7500" or something like that

Mine's different. I suspect the messages are crafted to match the device being used and it's ability to effectively render the total imagery displayed in your Springfield.

Also look online for notes about what weird items generate these warnings. For example railings between water and road tiles that the game generates automatically also count

In a few months I'll replace them with more space efficient multipliers, but in the meantime I've paid off the original cost in about 10 days with increased production so I plan to be swimming in donuts soon!

Just confirmed that all the tiles do not count towards the cap, just the bridge (street/water combo)

Same approach here! :) At first I was trying to tastefully hide them around town but I just give up and put them all in one empty area. I had a ton of empty space in SH, now flags live hidden there :D
