I've had random occasions of getting 3 donuts in the same box 3, 4+ times in a row. Likewise for 2 and 1. I've been collecting donut boxes daily, now at a rate of 5 to 6 rounds every 4 hours-- and I have yet to find a reliable pattern. If it's not random it's terribly close to it!
