They did special mystery boxes for xmas, Halloween, and Valentines Day, but they stopped doing that from the Whacking Day event, onwards... :?
That's too bad; if they already created the special graphic, why not use it again this year, I wonder?
I think it's cos of the 'prize' system with the events, that started with Whacking Day, rather than the old 'currency' system.
