I'm on the fence from a philosophical perspective. Seems to me such a feature goes against the very nature of the game. But a player can choose whether or not to use this feature, similar to the character locator button and the town census, so I wouldn't quit the game over it.

With 130+ characters, I agree it's becomming pretty onerous to assign tasks to all characters in one sitting, especially short-duration tasks. I have almost $140M in-game cash, so at this point I only send a small subset of characters on tasks, mostly on a whim (outside of events), and mostly 12-or 24-hour tasks when I do.

In the end, if EA did give us such a feature, I'd probably initially complain about it, then eventually slink into my hole, pull a cover over my head, and use it in shame. Or, in the tradition of /r/thebutton, I'd be a stalwart gray until I eventually push the button.
