150, which is 150 too much.
Herman's and Zesty's Pizza are both over 200k. I think Herman's was more like 250k.Jimbeeze wrote:

150 donuts comes with Springfield Community Centre- Although there are so many mixed opinions on this, I do agree that they overcharge for premium items. I know EA needs to make money, but you end up spending so much money on a game you dont even play that much. You can buy Grand Theft Auto for $60 and play it for months haha! And they dont charge any extras. Just an example of what im getting at, but I know what you mean.
- BGringoNew SpectatorI'm over it as well, and I thought a lot about getting a boatload recently w/ the sale. I'm glad I didn't. I barely touch this but once a day anymore.

No offence but how do you expect ea to run a game for millions of people without charging for some items ? You get a building and a character for 150 donuts that's a bargain ! If your so bothered about spending money on donuts why not get some on eBay if not have fun on animal crossing lmao !
What you dont realize is how many items are premium items. If you wanted to get all of these items, you would be almost hundreds of dollars. I know EA needs to make money somehow, but that's just too much for a game IMO.mcorway wrote:
It's a freemium game. Premium items are a part of that. That's how they make money. You wouldn't have this game with the support it has, if they didn't make money continually then this game would be dead in the water without updates.
Nobody says you have to buy the premium items. They are optional and I think it's embellishing to say that 'all the cool characters' are premium. They are not. In fact, most of the premium characters despite a few are very minor characters who have big fan bases but still don't appear that often.
EA does overcharge for premium items. I won't argue that but this game is not hiding anything. If you don't want to play a freemium type game then don't but I fail to see how you can argue that the entire idea is flawed when it makes them millions.
1.) This is EA. It's not an Indie publisher that's desperate for money. EA is one of the richest AND most hated companies in the video game world, this is just one of the reasons.
2.) Exactly. They overcharge. If this game were $60 and included everything for in-game currency only, then I'd probably consider buying it, even though THAT'S pretty expensive for what this game is.
Charging $10+ for a single digital character is robbery, considering $10-$15 will buy you a map pack or something for a game on your 360/PS3.bryantvb84 wrote:

I agree. I think either the cost of the packages need to change or the number of donuts for the character. I want Jasper, but have already spent more than $100 on this game and still disappointed at the costs. I am nearing a point where I don't want to put down any more money since the moment I do there will be more items I want. Sigh, Jasper will be added to the backlog of characters I want.
Yes I was aware of the sale, and no I did not partake since I had previously bought a store full in March.
They really make you buy the store or the boat to get any real value out of the game. Putting $20 gets you like 2 reasonable things, or 1.5.oman2302 wrote:
If you dont want to pay the 150 donuts then dont... Simple.
You can still play the game without the premium characters
Another stupid post.
That's not even the point. The point is that it's stupid of EA to charge such obscene prices, and it's even DUMBER that people are actually willing to pay that, when in reality, they probably don't have the excess change to buy the Premiums.- I agree fully that the cost of donuts is way too much and it costs too many donuts to buy items.
I do not pay money to play this game and still enjoy it a lot.
i just saved up 100 donuts in a couple months and was able to buy Doctor Nick.
It is quite upsetting knowing that it is unlikely that i will be able to get all the premium characters and buildings i want but i just keep saving and working towards my goal at the time. - You guys need to stop calling each other names. Stick to the topic at hand and stop making it personal. Otherwise you will force us to lock this thread.
Now play nice!
