Today's run of neighbor threads seems to have started with a fun post by Moxxee, and I'm grateful to have him around keeping the forum lively.
But in the situation you have just said to me why is it necessary for a complete thread about it? If you are worried about a neighbour that hasn't logged on for over a week then a simple PM is all you need to do.
That might work for me, but I am likely one of a hundred neighbors. It wouldn't work for them. For the record, I've always liked Direwolf's neighbor alerts thread: it just never caught on.

I'll also point out that at least three of the "neighbor" threads yesterday were done in fun. It was a slow day. I'm sure everyone taking the time to complain has spent as much time trying to make the forum an enjoyable place to visit.
