No!! Thank you for bringing that up. Those of you lucky enough to have an animated gif for a profile were "grandfathered". If you want to keep it...don't mess with it. :'(

Lol, love yours...maybe you can send that to EA for the rest of us. >:) :D

  • It doesn't work for me...is there a minimum number of posts needed first to change one's avatar pic?

How to do you post a picture in the comments

You can't post a pic in comments, but you can make comments in your signature. Sometimes the signatures won't show on mobiles.

If you read and follow the above instructions, it should work. IF you are still experiencing difficulties you can contact EA Help.
  • You used to have to have a minimum number of posts, not sure what the number is; hopefully someone will chime in sooner rather than later.

The situation was actually a little complicated. It was once the case that in order to display an avatar, the user had to be “promoted” by the powers that be. Users who had been “active” on the forum were promoted around the 22nd of each month. Exactly how many posts qualified one as active was ambiguous.

All that changed last fall with the move to Vanilla Forums. As @IckabodSchrek noted in her initial post, there is no longer a requirement that prevents one from immediately creating an avatar.
