no they have a right to make money they have made over 105 million dollars that's more than enough to pay everybody salary for the next 5 years that's enough to pay for all development of new games you added to all the other titles EA has, the billions of dollars they have as networth and you still think that they need to make money on every update. how much more do they need? when is enough? enough Corporate America is greedy it's ridiculous maybe you should watch the TV show continuum because we are heading for that future.

$105 million isn't really all that much when it comes to a business. That probably pays their basic licensing/production/etc. fees. I don't like how much they charge either, but not much in life is free.

There's a difference between charging and over-charging. EA has made over $130 million on this game, let's not act as if they're some starving indie startup.

If you're a freemium player this update really brings nothing. A building that you get through a quest and a concrete wall. In this type of game each level has new content. They would never ever add a level without a character or building so its not technically free, its part of the level. The levels are what keep the game fresh, without keeping the game fresh people will stop playing, without people playing EA will not make any money.

Seems to me like the past couple of updates have been very premium heavy which will drive away freemium players. It will also drive away players like myself, who spend money but don't buy everything.

well that was last years numbers they haven't posted any the quarterly earnings yet. But I know its well over a hundred five million I just don't have the exact figures and I didn't want to be ridiculed for posting erroneous data so I can only go by what they did say and the last time they posted it was a hundred five million and that was well before Christmas update and I know that people spent a lot of money on Christmas I was one of them.
